The Dubai International Chamber said in a statement that it has inaugurated its representative office in Luanda marking an expansion of its presence across Africa. According to the statement the office will deliver market intelligence business matchmaking services and local support for UAE companies exploring opportunities in Angola while assisting Angolan firms interested in Dubai as a gateway. Dubai Chambers data shows the chamber launched 16 new international offices in 2023 alone bringing its global network to 31 cities prior to this addition. The Luanda location forms part of ongoing efforts to tap into growing bilateral economic relations.

Angola-UAE non-oil trade reached $2.1 billion in 2024 a report from Rio Times Online indicated with diamonds and logistics forming key drivers. The same assessment projected potential growth to $10 billion annually by 2033 under a comprehensive economic partnership agreement between the two sides. Lloyds Bank Trade data places the UAE among Angola’s top five import partners contributing 6.5 percent of total imports in recent years. Such figures underscore the rationale for enhanced on-the-ground representation in the southern African nation.

The chamber’s announcement on its new representative office in Luanda aligns with the Dubai Global initiative launched several years ago. A review of the chamber’s international offices page lists similar outposts in Johannesburg Cape Town and other African hubs that have supported trade missions and investment inflows. The initiative seeks to position Dubai businesses favorably in emerging markets according to statements from Dubai Chambers. This latest opening adds to the network’s coverage in a region rich in natural resources and infrastructure needs.

UNCTAD statistics show African developing economies directed $51 billion in exports toward the UAE in 2025 reflecting strengthened South-South trade patterns. The new Luanda office will focus on sectors including energy services logistics and agriculture where opportunities for collaboration have expanded. OEC world bilateral trade figures place Angola’s overall exports at $42.6 billion in 2024 with the UAE featuring prominently in several categories. Such context highlights the office’s potential role in facilitating diversified exchanges beyond traditional commodities.

Dubai International Chamber opens new representative office in Luanda as officials from both sides emphasized mutual economic benefits during the launch phase. The chamber has maintained that its representative offices have facilitated numerous partnerships since the first African locations opened in 2023. Separate data from the chamber indicates its global network now exceeds 30 offices following recent inaugurations in Asia and Europe. This continued rollout supports Dubai’s position as a hub connecting diverse regional economies.
