The Central Bank of the UAE released its Financial Stability Report 2025 on August 17, 2026, the institution announced on its website. The report affirmed the strength and resilience of the UAE financial system while providing a comprehensive assessment of macro-financial conditions. It evaluated the banking system, non-bank financial institutions and payment systems, according to the CBUAE, and examined associated risks, vulnerabilities and systemic issues. CBUAE issues Financial Stability Report 2025, affirming strength, resilience of UAE financial system, the official news agency reported in its coverage of the launch.

Robust capital and liquidity buffers support the UAE banking sector’s strength, CBUAE figures in the report showed. The assessment found improved asset quality across the sector over recent periods. The central bank highlighted how proactive monetary policies and an advanced regulatory framework have enabled the financial system to demonstrate resilience to global changes.

In an announcement on its newsroom, the CBUAE said the Financial Stability Department conducts regular analyses to identify potential risks facing the financial system. These analyses inform macro-prudential policies, stress testing and crisis management preparations. The overall mandate focuses on promoting monetary and financial stability, efficiency and resilience while protecting consumers and supporting economic growth for the benefit of the UAE and its people, the bank stated.

The CBUAE ensures financial stability through risk assessments, macro-prudential policies, stress testing and crisis management, according to the bank’s overview. This latest report forms part of ongoing work that supports financial stability decision-making at the national level. Collaboration with international organisations including the IMF, the Financial Stability Board and the Bank for International Settlements adds depth to these assessments, a CBUAE review indicated.

Previous editions of the Financial Stability Report have similarly underscored sound fundamentals in the UAE financial sector, according to the central bank’s publications. The 2025 document extends that continuity with fresh data drawn from current conditions. The full report is available for download on the CBUAE website, the institution noted.
