The Emirates News Agency reported that TRENDS Research and Advisory participated in the World Artificial Intelligence Summit and Exhibition which opened on October 6 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and runs for two days. The think tank organised a specialised workshop in cooperation with the State Public Prosecution under the title From Awareness to Readiness Towards an AI-Empowered Generation. Officials from TRENDS used the platform to highlight applications of artificial intelligence across multiple sectors including agriculture.
TRENDS signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Agricultural Club on the sidelines of the summit according to the Emirates News Agency. The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in research studies consultations and the exchange of experiences and knowledge between the two entities. It further provides for joint organisation of events seminars conferences workshops and training programmes.
The memorandum covers preparation of specialised studies and research along with conducting surveys and questionnaires as detailed by the Emirates News Agency. Both parties will exchange experts and researchers while supporting research projects and knowledge initiatives of mutual interest. The pact also opens the door for collaboration in additional areas that may be agreed upon to broaden research scope and benefit from combined expertise.
A Data Bridge Market Research assessment found that the United Arab Emirates artificial intelligence in agriculture market stood at 9.15 million USD in 2024 and is forecast to reach 42.81 million USD by 2032 expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 24.67 percent. This expansion reflects increasing adoption of precision farming and data-driven techniques to overcome arid climate challenges and support national food security goals. The new partnership between TRENDS and the Abu Dhabi Agricultural Club aligns with these trends by focusing research on practical AI applications in the sector.
The Abu Dhabi Agricultural Club promotes sustainable farming practices and community involvement in the emirate’s agricultural development according to local government bodies. Cooperation with TRENDS which maintains a network of research partnerships across academic and official institutions will facilitate knowledge sharing on emerging technologies. Similar agreements signed by TRENDS in the past year have targeted joint studies and events in fields ranging from economic development to technological innovation.
TRENDS Research and Advisory has positioned itself as a key contributor to evidence-based policymaking in the United Arab Emirates through successive collaboration pacts. The latest memorandum with the agricultural club adds to a series of accords that include those with government funds and academic entities focused on strategic research. Such efforts support the emirate’s broader objective of integrating advanced technologies into traditional sectors like agriculture to enhance productivity and resilience.
