The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority announced its participation in ADIHEX 2026 with a dedicated pavilion at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre running until September 6. Through this platform, the authority is presenting its work to protect animal health, strengthen biosecurity measures and support the long-term sustainability of livestock resources in the UAE. It is also featuring its range of veterinary, research and regulatory services designed to bolster food security and improve overall community health outcomes. The authority stated that the exhibition provides an ideal venue to engage directly with the public on these topics.

This involvement demonstrates the authority’s dedication to community education on the One Health approach that integrates human, animal, plant and environmental health considerations, ADAFSA said. The authority is specifically focusing on increasing public knowledge regarding zoonotic diseases and the practical steps individuals can take to prevent their transmission. Such educational efforts form part of national strategies to maintain high standards of public health and environmental protection across the emirate.

Additionally, the pavilion is spotlighting professional pathways within the veterinary field. ADAFSA aims to encourage students to explore specialisations in veterinary medicine as a means to build future capacity in animal care and agricultural sciences. The interactive displays offer visitors an in-depth perspective on the UAE’s livestock industry and the critical oversight functions performed by the authority in safeguarding it.

Key biosecurity initiatives are being emphasised through the exhibit, encompassing animal identification programs, widespread vaccination campaigns, routine veterinary treatments, laboratory testing of animal feed quality and selective breeding projects to enhance livestock genetics according to ADAFSA. These combined activities form the cornerstone of the authority’s strategy to mitigate risks and elevate productivity in the sector. The authority continues to refine these services based on the latest scientific research and international best practices.

The 23rd edition of ADIHEX is organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Emirates Falconers’ Club. ADNEC Group data places the number of exhibitors and brands at a record 2,405 from 71 countries this year. The exhibition covers 107,000 square metres, an increase of 17 percent from the previous edition, and runs for 10 days.

ADNEC Group figures show that the 2025 edition attracted 379,572 visitors. The current event features 15 specialised sectors ranging from falconry and equestrian activities to veterinary services and environmental conservation. ADAFSA’s presence complements the exhibition’s focus on heritage and sustainability.
