The Emirates News Agency reported that TRENDS Research & Advisory will participate in the Frankfurt Book Fair with a showcase of more than 550 research and knowledge publications. The Abu Dhabi-based organisation intends to present its extensive body of work spanning international relations, political science, economic trends and social studies during the event running from October 7 to 11. Organisers have designated Czechia as the guest of honour for this edition while introducing a revised hall layout to improve navigation for attendees. TRENDS first opened in 2014 and rebranded as TRENDS Group in 2026 to encompass five specialised entities focused on research, foresight, public opinion measurement and training.

A September 2025 anniversary review from the organisation placed its output at 343 scholarly publications including 51 original books produced in Arabic, English and French along with 95 translated titles released in 15 languages. The think tank has also generated 1,688 reports and special studies plus 1,183 research papers according to the same internal tally. These figures underscore the scale of material available for display at the fair where TRENDS seeks to engage directly with international publishers and researchers.

Frankfurter Buchmesse organisers reported that the previous edition drew 238,000 visitors, 4,350 exhibitors and hosted 3,500 events with 7,800 media representatives in attendance. This year’s gathering is projected to attract more than 250,000 participants across trade and public days with over 1,000 speakers appearing on ten dedicated stages. The fair serves as a central marketplace for rights trading, translation deals and cross-media collaborations.

TRENDS maintains partnerships with 342 academic, media, governmental and private institutions across more than 45 countries and operates 22 offices outside its headquarters. The organisation has received recognition including ranking among the top ten emerging research institutions globally by the University of Pennsylvania. Additional honours encompass the Best Research Center Award for 2024 from the Arab Global Network and multiple awards for contributions to tolerance and counter-extremism initiatives.

Participation at the Frankfurt Book Fair aligns with TRENDS’ established pattern of attending major international academic and publishing events to broaden its reach. The think tank’s publications address geopolitical shifts, security dynamics and socioeconomic developments with a focus on foresight and scenario analysis. Exhibitors at the fair will include publishers, literary agencies and technology providers showcasing innovations in content delivery.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, Chief Executive Officer of TRENDS Group, has previously described the centre’s publications as central to its mission of contributing objective analysis to global discourse. The display in Frankfurt will feature both recent releases and foundational works from the organisation’s library. No further specifics on individual titles selected for the stand were included in the announcement.
