The nine-day programme encompasses Under-16, U18, U21, Adults and Masters divisions, with the Adults category running from August 6 to 9. Hundreds of athletes from various nations are expected to compete in the event that underscores the emirate’s role as a centre for international combat sports.
The federation reported that the UAE national team, sponsored by Mubadala Investment Company, has intensified its preparations ahead of the competition. Several countries including the United States have already registered for the championship, reflecting broad international participation. The event builds on Abu Dhabi’s history of staging major ju-jitsu tournaments at state-of-the-art venues such as Mubadala Arena.
