RX Global announced the date change after holding extensive discussions with stakeholders across the travel ecosystem. The company said the adjustment aims to optimise attendance and networking at what has become a cornerstone event for the industry. Danielle Curtis noted that the priority remains delivering a robust platform for business, networking and partnerships. “Our priority is always to ensure that ATM delivers the strongest possible platform for business, networking and partnership opportunities for the international travel community,” she said.

The new dates will enable exhibitors, buyers and visitors to maximise their participation, according to the organiser. The 2026 edition will convene under the theme of “Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology.” It will feature a dedicated travel technology exhibition exploring artificial intelligence, robotics, fintech, immersive experiences and sustainable mobility solutions. The conference programme will include contributions from specialists at Tourism Economics and Euromonitor International.

Now in its 33rd edition, the Arabian Travel Market has established itself as the Middle East’s leading travel and tourism event, RX Global figures show. The previous edition drew more than 41,000 trade visitors and over 2,300 exhibitors from 160 countries, according to event organisers. This level of participation highlights the platform’s importance in generating business opportunities valued in the billions of dollars for the sector.

Dubai’s tourism sector has demonstrated strong growth, with official statistics from the Department of Economy and Tourism indicating that international overnight visitors reached record levels in 2025. A World Travel and Tourism Council assessment found that the sector’s contribution to the UAE economy continues to expand, supporting employment and investment across related industries. The timing of the travel market in September positions it to influence planning for the subsequent high season.

Technology and innovation are increasingly central to travel industry strategies, a PwC Middle East review of digital transformation in the Gulf has indicated. Curtis said the revised schedule supports the event’s ability to address these developments effectively. Panels will examine changes in traveller behaviour, advancements in aviation and the role of digital tools in shaping future destinations.

Organisers expect the four-day gathering at the Dubai World Trade Centre to attract thousands of professionals once again. The venue has long served as the home for the exhibition, providing extensive facilities for both the main event and the co-located technology showcase. RX Global has organised the Arabian Travel Market for more than three decades, adapting its focus to reflect ongoing transformations in global tourism.
