The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre has entered a two-year partnership with Ultrahuman Healthcare SP LLC to create and clinically validate a Biological Health Age model. According to the centre the project integrates data from wearables and clinical biomarkers to assess factors including cardiovascular health sleep patterns metabolism and recovery. This collaboration aims to move beyond chronological age measurements by providing residents with actionable insights that encourage earlier interventions and tailored prevention approaches. A Ken Research assessment found the UAE preventive healthcare market stood at $5 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $8.9 billion by 2032 with a compound annual growth rate of 8.6 percent.
The memorandum of understanding was signed in Abu Dhabi by Dr Faisal Al Ahbabi Executive Director of Communicable Diseases at the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre and Mohit Kumar founder and chief executive of Ultrahuman Healthcare. The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre reported that all health data will remain within the emirate under strict confidentiality governance and privacy protections. Dr Rashed Obaid Alsuwaidi Director General of the centre stated Public health is evolving from a model centered primarily on disease management to one that focuses increasingly on prediction prevention and early intervention. Understanding how populations age and identifying the factors that influence healthy longevity are essential components of that transition. This collaboration will help strengthen our ability to generate evidence develop new public health tools and translate data into practical insights that support healthier communities across Abu Dhabi.
Ultrahuman which has sold approximately 800 000 smart rings worldwide according to company figures will contribute its expertise in wearable-derived signals to the joint research. The model builds on the firm’s existing algorithms that compare chronological age against patterns in activity sleep and selected blood markers. Individuals are expected to eventually access their biological health age results through official digital platforms such as TAMM and Sahatna the partners indicated. This represents the Bengaluru-based startup’s initial move toward national-scale deployment of its health algorithms.
Biological health age evaluates multiple physiological indicators to reveal whether an individual’s body is ageing at an accelerated or decelerated rate compared with population norms the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre explained. The partnership complements the emirate’s existing programmes in genomics digital health infrastructure and population-wide prevention. Mohit Kumar said the project unites continuous monitoring from consumer wearables with Abu Dhabi’s established healthcare systems to generate more precise personalised recommendations.
Data security and ethical use form central pillars of the agreement according to the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre. The two organisations will conduct joint scientific studies over the next two years while applying Ultrahuman’s pre-developed models rather than training new ones on local information. Officials anticipate the resulting tools will help reduce future health burdens by supporting targeted strategies across diverse population groups.
