The Abu Dhabi Media Office reported that His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, is patron of the fifth Abu Dhabi Finance Week, which the Abu Dhabi Global Market will host on Al Maryah Island from December 7 to 10, 2026. The gathering will operate under the theme The Capital Community, Powered by Partnerships and feature more than 800 speakers alongside leading investors, financial executives, policymakers and innovators from across the world. According to the announcement more than 70 specialised events will take place during the four days, building on the prior edition that convened 819 speakers and more than 35,000 participants representing organisations managing over 62 trillion dollars in capital.
The Abu Dhabi Global Market announcement placed an initial group of confirmed speakers at the centre of the programme, including Oliver Bate as CEO and chairman of the board of management at Allianz SE, Tan Su Shan as CEO and director at DBS Group, and Jenny Johnson as CEO of Franklin Templeton. Further names released by the organisers encompass Dilhan Pillay Sandrasegara, executive director and CEO of Temasek Holdings, Charles R. Kaye, chairman of Warburg Pincus, Dmitry Balyasny, managing partner and chief investment officer at Balyasny Asset Management, and Chamath Palihapitiya, founder and CEO of Social Capital. The ADFW website listed H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, chairman of ADGM and ADDED, among the opening speakers for the 2026 programme.
A report from the Abu Dhabi Media Office noted that last year’s Abu Dhabi Finance Week produced 82 memorandums of understanding and engaged more than 69 strategic global and regional partners. The same assessment found that participating organisations at the 2025 edition oversaw more than 62 trillion dollars in capital, illustrating the scale of assets represented at the annual convening. Organisers anticipate the 2026 edition will surpass those benchmarks while reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a hub for long-term strategic investment.
Discussions at the forthcoming week will examine trends reshaping the global financial landscape, the Abu Dhabi Media Office stated, with sessions spanning digital financial assets, tokenisation, private investments, artificial intelligence, trade, energy, real estate and infrastructure. The programme will explore how partnerships among financial institutions, sovereign wealth funds, policymakers and innovators can support resilient finance and sustainable growth. According to the announcement these conversations aim to translate dialogue into concrete capital mobilisation and economic value creation.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office highlighted that Abu Dhabi ranked first in the region and 12th globally in the inaugural NYU Stern Financial Centres Competitiveness Index. The emirate manages more than 1.8 trillion dollars in sovereign wealth assets and continues to advance economic diversification through a knowledge- and innovation-driven model, the office added. Such credentials have positioned the capital as an increasingly attractive destination for global investors seeking stable, long-term opportunities.
In the announcement H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, chairman of ADGM, said, “This year’s theme, Capital Community, Powered by Partnerships, recognises that the future of finance will be shaped not by individual institutions, but by the strength of the ecosystems that connect capital, ideas and opportunity.” Al Zaabi added that as the Capital of Capital, Abu Dhabi continues to bring together global investors, financial institutions, innovators and policymakers to drive meaningful dialogue, mobilise capital and create lasting economic value. The ADGM chairman concluded that ADFW has become the platform where those conversations translate into partnerships that shape the global economy.
