A session at the Tashkent International Investment Forum detailed a joint investment portfolio exceeding 20 billion dollars across about 100 projects. Trade turnover rose more than 50 percent by the close of 2025 to surpass 1.25 billion dollars while UAE investments into Uzbekistan alone reached 1.3 billion dollars in 2024 with over half channeled into energy. Major UAE firms such as Masdar Mubadala and DP World have joined ventures valued at nearly 4 billion dollars that are already operational in Uzbekistan. The count of UAE-funded enterprises there has expanded to 337 including more than 100 joint ventures a figure that has more than doubled since early 2021. These commercial developments rest on a strategic partnership agreement that has guided cooperation in renewable energy logistics and mining.
Uzbekistan observes its Independence Day on September 1 to recall its emergence as a sovereign state in 1991 following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
