The Emirates News Agency reported that UAE horses dominated the International Arabian Horse Championship Title Show in El Jadida, Morocco, by winning 14 of 18 titles at the competition held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI. A total of 178 horses from Morocco, the Middle East and Europe took part in the event, which formed part of the 16th El Jadida Horse Show, with 31 of those entries coming from the UAE and owned by 22 breeders. According to the final championship results released after the judging concluded, UAE studs claimed gold, silver and bronze medals across several categories, underscoring their consistent performance in conformation assessment.
WAM reported that AJ Marmuqa from Ajman Stud won gold in the Yearling Fillies championship while Nouf Liwa owned by Abdullah Ahmed Al Mansoori took silver and Morocco’s Siwar Bouznika from Haras Royal de Bouznika received bronze. The UAE swept the Junior Fillies titles with D Thaw from Dubai Arabian Stud earning gold, AJ Karama from Ajman Stud claiming silver and Al Aryam Harbah owned by Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan securing bronze. In the Senior Mares section, AJ Lima from Amara Stud captured gold, BW Deema owned by Ali Salem Al Kaabi earned silver and Kawthar Al Sayed from Liwa Stud took bronze.

World Arabian Horse Organization data shows that the UAE had registered more than 28,750 Arabian horses by the end of 2024, a figure that reflects steady expansion of the national herd since the first stud book volumes recorded only a few hundred animals. The Emirates Arabian Horse Society coordinated the UAE delegation to the Moroccan title show, where its director-general Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi joined Dr. Habib Marzak, commissioner general of the El Jadida Horse Show, in presenting awards to the winners. Such international participation builds on the society’s role in promoting high standards of breeding, registration and competitive showing.
Organisers of the Title Show, which carries official recognition from the European Conference of Arab Horse Organisations, evaluate horses on type, head and neck, body, legs and movement, standards that UAE entries met at an elevated level throughout the week. The strong UAE performance at this event adds to a pattern of success seen in other major championships and contributes to the global profile of Emirati breeding operations. Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi noted the depth of competition while highlighting the quality of horses presented by UAE owners and studs.
The awards ceremony at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Centre recognised the top performers, with multiple UAE connections collecting honours across the divisions. This latest set of results reinforces the investment that breeders have made in superior bloodlines and preparation for international events. The Emirates Arabian Horse Society continues to support such initiatives to preserve the Arabian breed and elevate its standing worldwide.
