The delegation is led by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, according to the Emirates News Agency. Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, described the scale of UAE participation as evidence of the country’s commitment to engaging on future-oriented sectors that include artificial intelligence, technological innovation and digital transformation. Al Gergawi further noted that the gathering offers a platform for strengthening government and private sector collaboration while addressing shared global challenges.

In a statement carried by the Emirates News Agency, Al Gergawi said, “The UAE’s participation in the World Economic Forum Davos 2026 reflects its vision to reinforce the UAE’s active presence and constructive contribution across international forums, strengthen international cooperation, and deepen effective regional and global partnerships.” He added that “This engagement supports the achievement of national development objectives and contributes to international efforts to address shared challenges and advance comprehensive and sustainable development.” The minister highlighted how the delegation of more than 100 senior government officials, entrepreneurs and innovators from diverse sectors positions the UAE to share expertise where it holds global leadership.

The meeting, which runs through January 23 under the theme “Spirit of Dialogue,” centers on the future of the global economic system, multilateral trade, restoring trust between nations and markets, and the effects of innovation on productivity and employment, the Emirates News Agency reported. Energy security, climate transition, investment flows, emerging growth engines and human capital priorities ranging from future skills and education to health, food security, water and biodiversity protection also feature prominently on the agenda. UAE representatives are taking part in sessions that concentrate on establishing trust in investment, advancing legislative frameworks, boosting global trade and enhancing economic governance.

A UAE Pavilion operating under the theme “Impossible is Impossible” for the fourth consecutive year forms a key element of the country’s presence, according to the Emirates News Agency. The pavilion showcases the resilience of the national economy across energy, trade, finance, industry, technology and the digital economy while highlighting efforts to advance energy transition, sustainability and climate finance without compromising growth or energy security. Senior government officials, business leaders and international experts are participating in its sessions, meetings and media engagements to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and explore innovative solutions.

The UAE’s engagement underscores its role as a global business hub and reliable investment destination supported by stable policies, a supportive regulatory environment and a robust legislative framework, the news agency stated. Conversations on artificial intelligence, digital government and smart regulation illustrate how the country has harnessed advanced technologies to improve governmental efficiency, enable data-driven decision-making and enhance economic competitiveness. Participation also extends to humanitarian and global challenges linked to social stability and sustainable development, including food security, health, water resources and humanitarian action.

This appearance builds on the strategic partnership between the UAE Government and the World Economic Forum, which includes Al Gergawi’s membership on the WEF Leadership Council, a World Economic Forum press release from June 2026 noted. Prominent national companies have joined the private sector component of the delegation, reinforcing the UAE’s standing as the fifth-largest participant at the Davos gathering. The overall involvement provides opportunities to foster constructive dialogue, deepen international cooperation and advance stability, prosperity and sustainable development for current and future generations.
