The Abu Dhabi-based centre will present its collection of research papers, studies and books addressing subjects that include cybersecurity, the global economy, artificial intelligence, sustainable development, foreign policy and political Islam, according to the Emirates News Agency. Organisers of the fair, run by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre, have positioned the event as a major platform for publishers, researchers and the public to interact directly. TRENDS plans to occupy a dedicated pavilion where visitors can explore the full range of its output in multiple languages.

TRENDS Research & Advisory has built a reputation for producing original works, translations and encyclopedic series that analyse contemporary global challenges. The centre’s participation aligns with its stated goal of fostering informed dialogue through accessible knowledge products. Similar displays at other regional fairs have drawn attention to specific series, including multi-volume examinations of political movements.

The Abu Dhabi International Book Fair attracted around 400,000 visitors in its 2025 edition when it expanded to a 10-day format for the first time, Publishing Perspectives reported. That event featured more than 1,400 exhibitors from 96 countries and generated a 65 percent rise in book sales compared with the previous year, according to the same outlet. Student engagement also increased, with thousands of pupils taking part in associated educational activities.

TRENDS has maintained a regular presence at major book fairs, including the 2025 Sharjah International Book Fair where it similarly presented approximately 500 publications and introduced 17 new titles, a WAM dispatch from November 2025 showed. The centre’s CEO Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali has described such appearances as opportunities to gauge reader interests and refine future research directions. Director of distribution and exhibitions Rawdha Al-Marzooqi has pointed to strong demand for the group’s specialized encyclopedias and studies on emerging technologies.

Earlier iterations of the Abu Dhabi fair, which began in 1981, started as a smaller gathering focused on Islamic publications before evolving into an international event that now draws participants from across continents, a historical overview from The National indicated. The 2026 edition is projected to build on that trajectory with a broad programme of seminars, signings and cultural activities. TRENDS’ exhibit will add to the intellectual offerings by making its latest analyses available to attendees.

In comparable outings, such as its debut at the Kuwait International Book Fair late last year, the centre highlighted publications on geopolitical transformations and advanced technology that resonated with regional audiences, according to a subsequent WAM report. The group continues to translate a portion of its catalogue into more than 15 languages to widen its reach. This approach has helped establish TRENDS as a contributor to Arabic-language scholarly production on international affairs.
