The TRENDS Group will participate in the 35th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre from September 13 to 18 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, according to a report by the Emirates News Agency. Its pavilion will feature the latest research publications, strategic studies, encyclopedias and translated works alongside dialogue sessions, discussion panels and book-signing events. The group said its involvement aims to strengthen the presence of scientific research at major cultural events while making its output accessible to readers, researchers, academics and specialists. Officials added that the initiative seeks to foster intellectual dialogue and knowledge exchange on key regional and international issues.
TRENDS Group said in a statement that the participation reflects its commitment to major knowledge platforms. Mohammed Al-Salmi, Director-General of TRENDS Research and Advisory, stated that the fair represents a leading knowledge and cultural platform bringing together research institutions, academia, publishers and readers from around the world. The organisation has prepared a diverse programme featuring its newest encyclopedias, translated books, publications and research studies for visitors to explore.
Rawda Al Marzouqi, Head of the Distribution and Exhibitions Sector at TRENDS Group, detailed that the pavilion will display around 500 publications covering a wide range of fields, including several new books and studies presented for the first time. Al Marzouqi added that the activities will allow attendees to engage directly with the group’s scientific and intellectual output. The TRENDS Group noted that its presence coincides with the fair’s focus on Balkan culture, with the Balkans serving as guest of honour for this edition.
The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre reported that the previous edition of the fair in 2025 attracted around 400,000 visitors over an extended 10-day period and featured more than half a million book titles. Organisers indicated that the current 35th edition includes 1,200 exhibitors from 95 countries and approximately 1,500 cultural, intellectual and educational events. The fair has established itself as a global platform that promotes dialogue across cultures and supports the creative industries.
TRENDS Research and Advisory has maintained a consistent role in prior editions of the book fair, including as a platinum sponsor in 2025 when it organised more than 13 panel discussions, symposiums and workshops on strategic issues. Previous pavilions incorporated heritage elements such as exhibitions on the UAE pearl era and live demonstrations of traditional crafts to connect historical context with contemporary research. The centre’s activities have drawn visits from senior officials, academics and the public, generating significant engagement according to post-event summaries from the organisation.
The TRENDS Group pavilion at the ongoing fair has already begun welcoming visitors and introducing its updated corporate identity while hosting sessions such as dialogues on artificial intelligence and culture involving its Youth Council members. Additional activities planned through the close of the event on September 18 include the launch of new publications, signing of academic cooperation agreements and initiatives aimed at students and young researchers. These efforts build on the group’s established focus on producing studies that address both current challenges and future transformations.
