According to WAM, the UAE President wrapped up his working visit with a series of engagements that included detailed conversations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on expanding bilateral relations. The discussions focused on opportunities in the economy, investment, trade, renewable energy and additional priority sectors. These talks took place under the existing Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Comprehensive Economic Partnership frameworks that guide cooperation between the two countries.
The two leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening UAE-Serbia relations while expanding partnerships aimed at supporting growth and prosperity for both countries and their peoples. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed commended President Vučić for his personal dedication to advancing the strong ties. The presidents also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual interest during their meeting.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed directed the provision of scholarships for Serbian students to pursue studies at universities across the UAE. The scholarships emphasize disciplines including science, technology and artificial intelligence as a means to build academic and educational links. President Vučić expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as evidence of the deep relationship between Serbia and the UAE.
Earlier in the program the UAE President visited the EXPO 2027 Playground, an interactive multimedia center highlighting Serbia’s preparations to host the international exhibition next year. He received a comprehensive presentation on the planning efforts underway and wished the Serbian side every success in organizing the event. Group photographs with the Expo team marked the conclusion of that segment of the visit.
The delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on the working visit to Serbia featured His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs. It also included His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with a number of ministers and senior officials. The visit to Serbia followed directly after the President’s working trip to Slovakia, where he held separate meetings with senior Slovak officials.
WAM has noted that such high-level engagements form part of the UAE’s broader diplomatic outreach in Europe. The pattern of sequential visits allows for coordinated advancement of strategic objectives across multiple partners in the region.
