Redington has entered a distribution agreement with UAE-based AI start-up AIREV to make the OnDemand AI platform available across the Middle East and Africa, the technology solutions provider said in a statement. The partnership will see Redington handle sales, marketing and support for the platform, which enables businesses to access AI capabilities through a flexible, on-demand model rather than through large-scale infrastructure investments. This arrangement builds on Redington’s existing network spanning more than 20 countries and its focus on emerging technologies that drive digital transformation.
The OnDemand platform allows enterprises to deploy customised AI solutions for applications including data analytics, automation and predictive modelling without committing to permanent hardware or software licences, according to the company statement. Users can scale usage according to immediate needs, a feature designed to lower barriers for small and medium-sized businesses that form a significant portion of regional economies. Redington’s established relationships with channel partners will help extend the platform’s reach into sectors such as healthcare, finance and logistics.
A report from Mordor Intelligence projects the artificial intelligence market in the Middle East and Africa to expand at a compound annual growth rate exceeding 30 percent between 2025 and 2030, fuelled by government strategies and private-sector demand. The timing of the distribution agreement aligns with these forecasts, as several Gulf states implement national AI programmes that encourage technology uptake. Redington’s move to partner with a local innovator reflects a pattern of distributors collaborating with regional start-ups to meet rising interest in practical AI applications.
AIREV developed the OnDemand platform in the United Arab Emirates, where it has undergone testing in pilot deployments that demonstrated efficiency gains for early adopters, the statement indicated. The solution integrates with existing enterprise systems, enabling organisations to incorporate AI functions incrementally while maintaining data sovereignty and compliance with local regulations. Redington will provide training and technical assistance to ensure smooth implementation across diverse market conditions in the Middle East and Africa.
The agreement underscores Redington’s strategy to broaden its portfolio in high-growth technology areas, the company said in the announcement. As one of the leading IT distributors in the region, Redington has previously introduced cloud, cybersecurity and analytics solutions from global vendors while increasingly supporting home-grown innovations. This latest collaboration is positioned to capitalise on the UAE’s ambition to become a hub for artificial intelligence development and export related technologies to neighbouring markets.
Public data from the International Monetary Fund shows that digital transformation initiatives have become central to economic diversification plans across the Gulf Cooperation Council, with artificial intelligence identified as a priority area for productivity improvements. The OnDemand approach could help address skills gaps by simplifying access to advanced tools that would otherwise require specialised teams. Redington’s distribution expertise will focus on tailoring deployment models to local business environments ranging from major commercial centres to emerging African economies.
