Insurance House reported a net profit of AED 7.89 million for the first half of 2026, the company said in a statement published by the Emirates News Agency on Wednesday. The result marks a turnaround from prior periods when the firm focused on strategic resets to improve underwriting and revenue streams. Insurance revenue grew substantially in the opening quarter of the year, reaching AED 86.79 million, a 45 percent increase from the same period a year earlier, according to the company’s earlier disclosures.
The insurer’s performance aligns with broader trends in the UAE insurance sector, where several listed firms have posted gains amid rising demand for coverage. Orient Insurance achieved a net profit after tax of AED 545 million in the first half of 2026, an 8 percent rise year on year, the company reported last week. Such outcomes reflect improved operational efficiency and investment returns across the industry, Central Bank of the UAE data has shown in recent quarterly overviews.
Insurance House attributed the half-year profit to higher insurance revenue and better claims management following a strategic overhaul initiated in 2025. The firm had recorded a full-year net profit of AED 4.9 million for 2025, according to filings with the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. Executives noted that continued focus on core lines such as motor and property coverage supported the latest results.
Sector-wide, UAE insurers have benefited from economic expansion and regulatory enhancements that encourage digital transformation and risk diversification. A report from the Central Bank of the UAE placed gross written premiums for the national market at elevated levels through 2025, with non-life segments showing particular resilience. Insurance House operates primarily in Abu Dhabi and has emphasized compliance with international financial reporting standards in its recent announcements.
The company said investment income contributed positively to the bottom line, though specific figures for the half-year investment portfolio were not detailed in the initial release. Earlier financial statements for 2025 showed net income from investments at AED 2.11 million, up from AED 1.79 million the prior year. Management has indicated plans to sustain momentum through product innovation and market expansion within the UAE.
Analysts following the Abu Dhabi exchange have observed that smaller insurers like Insurance House are navigating a competitive landscape dominated by larger groups. The firm’s shares have reflected steady interest as quarterly updates demonstrate progress on profitability metrics. Insurance House stated it remains committed to delivering value to shareholders while maintaining prudent risk controls across its underwriting book.
