The Dubai Electronic Security Centre participates in GISEC Global 2026 as Official Government Cybersecurity Partner, where it will host the government stage and present its latest protective initiatives at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City. Organisers anticipate more than 25,000 information security professionals from over 180 countries will attend alongside exhibits from 750 cybersecurity brands, according to event details published on the GISEC website. The gathering serves as a central venue for dialogue among government representatives, corporate security leaders and technical experts on emerging digital risks.

According to the WAM report, the centre will showcase strategies aligned with Dubai’s cybersecurity framework that emphasise threat detection, incident response and infrastructure resilience. DESC, established in 2014 under Law No. 11 issued by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sets standards for government entities and coordinates with local and international partners on digital protection measures, its official documentation states. The centre’s mandate includes policy development, system audits and awareness programmes that support the emirate’s position in the regional digital economy.

UAE organisations encountered an average of 2,197 cyber attacks each week in the first half of 2026, data from Check Point Software Technologies indicates. Attacks escalated above 800,000 per day during recent regional tensions, a senior cybersecurity official told Khaleej Times in early September. These patterns highlight the persistent pressures facing both public and private networks across the country.

A pentest.ae sector report placed the overall UAE cybersecurity market at between 1.6 billion and 2 billion dollars in 2026 with projected compound annual growth of 15 to 20 percent. The government and public sector portion of that market reached 1.1 billion dollars this year and is expected to exceed 2.3 billion by 2031, a MarketsandMarkets assessment found. Spending focuses on cloud security, identity management and operational monitoring as authorities and businesses expand digital services.

DESC previously introduced zero trust guidelines, enhanced digital trust services and post-quantum cryptography recommendations at earlier GISEC editions, centre announcements show. Officials plan to build on those efforts by engaging with global counterparts on regulatory alignment and innovation in defensive technologies during the three-day programme. The 2026 event relocates to the expanded Dubai Exhibition Centre to accommodate increased participation from critical infrastructure operators and technology providers.

The congress hosted by the UAE Cyber Security Council will address cooperation on national and international defence strategies while specialised stages examine risks to energy, transport and communications systems, GISEC organisers reported. Attendees will review advancements in forensics, encryption and compliance tools that meet UAE regulatory thresholds. Such forums reinforce coordinated approaches that combine government oversight with industry capabilities to address evolving threats.
