Dubai Customs operates 22 dedicated centers focused on providing high-quality services to its clients, according to the department. These facilities work alongside mobile applications that allow access to services at any time using smart devices. A toll-free hotline at 8001886 further supports customer inquiries and feedback.
The authority introduced an artificial intelligence platform at Gitex Global in October 2025, Dubai Customs reported. This development seeks to improve integration and boost customer satisfaction levels across operations. It forms part of a larger strategy to modernize government interactions in the emirate.
As the first smart government department in Dubai, the organization has undergone significant digital transformation, a sector analysis by Capgemini indicated. Traders and individuals can now handle many customs procedures online without the need for in-person visits. The changes have helped reduce processing times and eliminate unnecessary bureaucratic steps.
An updated unified contact number was implemented in February 2025 to enable faster and more accurate responses to public needs, the department stated. Service centers at key locations including Port Rashid, Jebel Ali, Cargo Village and airport free zones complement these digital channels. The unified approach ensures consistency in how customers are served across all platforms.
The department maintains a customer charter that emphasizes best practices and smart solutions to enhance communication, Dubai Customs said. Customer experience remains a central priority in all initiatives undertaken by the authority. Feedback from users helps inform ongoing refinements to existing services.
Continuous improvement forms a core element of the department’s philosophy, with officials welcoming suggestions and complaints from the public. This open stance allows for data-driven adjustments that elevate overall service standards. Dubai Customs’ efforts align with wider emirate-level programs aimed at delivering seamless government services.
