The Supreme Organising Committee for Ajman Summer 2026 announced the conclusion of the programme’s seventh edition following five weeks of diverse activities that engaged thousands of residents. The edition featured 126 programmes and activities across multiple categories, attracting 3,106 beneficiaries and achieving 110.7 percent of its target of 2,805 participants. Several tracks significantly outperformed expectations, including community programmes at 165 percent and scientific activities at 164 percent of their respective goals.
According to the committee’s update, the Boys’ Summer Centre completed its schedule with five programmes that benefited 455 young participants, just above the target of 450, led by high interest in sports and swimming sessions. The Girls’ Summer Centre delivered 61 programmes and workshops focused on life skills, recording 787 participations mainly from the 7-12 age group. The initiative maintained a strong emphasis on family involvement and skill-building throughout its run.
The Scientific Summer Centre’s focus on emerging technologies paid off with its 3D Printing programme exceeding targets by attracting 41 participants against an expected 25, a committee report showed. Cultural offerings included 16 workshops and events at the Cultural Summer Centre that drew 1,204 participations, highlighted by the Sandooq Al Watan initiative with 600 participants and the Teach Me, Grandfather programme with 253. Community programmes brought together 198 people through family bonding activities such as trips to the aquatic reserve and drawing sessions with parents.
Government departments and private entities jointly delivered 27 programmes that engaged 1,149 participants for an achievement rate of 118.3 percent, covering subjects ranging from artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship to health awareness and civil defence. Voluntary initiatives surpassed targets with 92 participants in programmes promoting social responsibility, including the Library of Benevolence and volunteer training workshops. Specialised activities for People of Determination reached 335 beneficiaries, while five recreational competitions crowned 39 winners.
Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Ajman Summer 2026, said the programme focuses on developing children’s and young people’s skills through educational, sporting, cultural and recreational activities in a safe and stimulating environment. Speaking in the WAM report, Al Raeesi added that the strong turnout and the fact that several programmes exceeded their targets reflect the quality of the content and its alignment with participants’ interests. He also praised the contributions of participating entities, organising teams, trainers and volunteers in ensuring the programme’s success.
The seventh edition built on the success of prior years, running from June to August 2026 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, the Ajman Media Office reported. Multiple government bodies collaborated on the delivery, including the Ajman Municipality, the Ajman Free Zone Authority and the Ajman Cultural and Heritage Development Authority. The programme’s conclusion marks the end of a season dedicated to fostering community bonds and youth empowerment across the emirate.
