QnA International announced that the 14th edition of the GCC GOV HR & Youth Summit & Awards will open on October 20 with a programme centred on translating innovation into public outcomes through enhanced human capital policies. The gathering at the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl will convene more than 250 senior government officials, HR executives and youth representatives from across the GCC for keynotes, masterclasses and specialised tracks on nationalisation, leadership readiness and sustainable talent systems. A statement from the organisers noted that the event has served as the region’s primary platform for public sector HR dialogue for over a decade, adapting each year to evolving priorities such as digital transformation and artificial intelligence integration in workforce planning. Past editions have consistently emphasised the strategic role of people in driving national competitiveness.
The 2025 edition of the summit drew more than 300 participants and highlighted excellence through its awards programme, according to regional coverage of the proceedings. Categories have recognised achievements in areas ranging from GOV HR Leader of the Year and Youth Icon of the Year to distinctions for digital transformation, employee wellbeing and sustainability initiatives. Winners in the previous year included representatives from Dubai Police, ADNOC and Saudi Arabia’s General Organization for Social Insurance, whose selection underscored the competitive standards applied across government and semi-government entities. The awards component remains a cornerstone of the annual event, celebrating measurable impact in public service delivery.
Captain Shaikh Abdulaziz Bin Sultan Bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi, who received the Youth Icon of the Year honour in 2025, delivered remarks at that gathering that framed the summit as essential for institutional evolution. “We view the GCC GOV HR and Youth Summit & Awards as a strategic platform that redefines the future of government work by reshaping the role of people as a strategic asset and a central driver of institutional transformation,” he said. His comments, which stressed the exchange of ideas on youth skills development amid digital and knowledge-economy demands, are expected to resonate with this year’s discussions on workforce 2035 priorities. The 2026 programme builds directly on such foundations by incorporating tracks dedicated to next-generation leadership.
Sidh N.C., director of QnA International, positioned the summit as more than a conference in the lead-up to the Abu Dhabi gathering. “This year’s theme speaks to the heart of transformation, where technology, talent, and purpose converge to shape nations that are not only competitive but deeply human in their approach to growth,” he stated in the announcement. The two-day schedule includes opening insights from transformational leadership experts and closes with the prestigious GCC GOV HR and Youth Empowerment Awards ceremony. Attendance remains focused on invitation-only C-level participants to ensure high-level exchanges on policy implementation.
The summit series has tracked successive phases of GCC public sector development, from initial nationalisation drives to current emphasis on AI-enabled decision-making and youth inclusion, according to the organiser’s historical overview. Organisers have recorded more than 200 award nominations in recent cycles, reflecting widespread engagement from ministries, authorities and state-owned enterprises throughout the bloc. This year’s convening in Abu Dhabi aligns with broader regional efforts to strengthen public institutions as engines of economic diversification and long-term resilience.
