Burjeel Holdings has established a dedicated affordable healthcare vertical that brings together the LLH, Lifecare and Medeor brands under unified leadership, the company said in a statement distributed by the Emirates News Agency. Dr. Narendra D Sonigra was appointed chief executive officer of the platform, which forms part of the group’s Burjeel 2.0 transformation program aimed at creating focused businesses with clearer accountability for clinical performance, patient experience and financial outcomes. The brands will retain their unique identities while gaining from shared leadership and operations inside the wider Burjeel ecosystem, according to the announcement. This step integrates primary care clinics, medical centers and multispecialty hospitals to widen community access and improve asset utilization.
The platform encompasses six hospitals in the UAE, including Medeor sites in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, LLH facilities in Abu Dhabi and Musaffah, and Lifecare centers in Musaffah and Baniyas, Burjeel Holdings reported. It further includes 24 medical centers and clinics together with more than 500 beds, supported by over 2,400 physicians, nurses and allied health professionals. The combined assets delivered more than 2.3 million outpatient visits and over 61,000 admissions in 2025, the statement noted. These operations accounted for 22.5 percent of group revenue in fiscal year 2025 and 22.7 percent in the first half of 2026.
LLH will continue providing accessible community healthcare for middle and lower income populations while Lifecare serves industrial workforces and nearby communities, according to Burjeel Holdings. Medeor focuses on middle income expatriates and families in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The distinct positioning enables the group to address varied patient and insurance segments and to strengthen its role as a partner for employers, insurers and communities, the company said.
The unification is designed to support sustainable growth by enhancing operational efficiency across the affordable care segment, Burjeel Holdings stated. The initiative aligns with the group’s broader strategy of optimizing its multi brand portfolio that spans primary to quaternary services. Shared resources are expected to improve patient flow and asset performance without altering the individual brand identities.
Founded in 2007, Burjeel Holdings operates one of the leading integrated healthcare networks in the GCC with assets across the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia, company background information shows. The group maintains a portfolio of approximately 115 facilities that includes hospitals, medical centers, physiotherapy centers, pharmacies and allied services. Its focus on complex care complements the newly unified affordable segment to serve patients across all socioeconomic levels.
A Nexdigm report valued the UAE healthcare market at 22 billion dollars in 2024 and projected compound annual growth of 3 percent through 2030, fueled by government initiatives and technology adoption. Alpen Capital forecasts placed GCC healthcare expenditure at 109.1 billion dollars in 2024 rising to 159 billion dollars by 2029, with the UAE component advancing at a 6.7 percent compound annual growth rate. Burjeel Holdings’ latest move positions the listed group, which trades on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, to meet rising demand for accessible services amid this expansion.
