The fifth edition of the Al Asayl Exhibition is set to launch on September 24 at Expo Al Dhaid and continue through September 27, according to Expo Centre Sharjah which is organising the event with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than 80 companies and specialist brands will participate alongside clubs and associations dedicated to equestrian sports, falconry, camel racing and other heritage activities. The gathering will showcase products ranging from animal grooming and nutrition supplies to stable equipment, transport solutions and advanced breeding techniques, the organiser reported.

Expo Centre Sharjah said the programme includes a daily theatre on Friday, Saturday and Sunday that will deliver educational and interactive sessions designed to inform visitors about care practices for horses, camels and falcons. Draws and prizes will be held throughout the event, with rewards encompassing a live falcon and the latest iPhone models to heighten visitor engagement. Such features have become a hallmark of the exhibition in previous years, helping to blend commerce with cultural education.

Visiting hours will run from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday while Friday openings are scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., according to details released by Expo Centre Sharjah. The 2026 edition follows the 2025 event that drew more than 250 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, a figure reported by Sharjah24 that underscored growing interest in the sector. Organisers anticipate similar commercial activity and attendance this year as the exhibition cements its position as a leading regional platform.

A Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry assessment found that specialised exhibitions of this kind support local businesses while contributing to the preservation of traditional Emirati sports that form part of the nation’s cultural identity. Falconry in particular was inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2010, with the UAE among the countries credited for its promotion and safeguarding. Camel breeding and racing similarly receive substantial official backing, with major competitions offering prize funds that routinely exceed several million dirhams, according to figures from national racing authorities.

Expo Centre Sharjah noted that the exhibition will also feature workshops on veterinary care, disease management and modern breeding methods for the animals at the centre of the heritage sports. The event builds on the venue’s broader calendar, which includes the Al Dhaid Agriculture Exhibition and other themed gatherings that together attract participants from across the UAE and Gulf region. Mohammed Musabah Al Tunaiji, director of Expo Al Dhaid, has previously highlighted how these platforms facilitate knowledge exchange among enthusiasts and professionals.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has backed the initiative as part of its efforts to promote economic diversification and cultural continuity, with the chamber’s second vice chairman having attended prior openings to emphasise the exhibitions’ role in the local economy. Participation from official associations ensures that regulatory and best-practice standards are highlighted alongside commercial offerings. This combination has helped previous editions generate tangible business returns for exhibitors while educating a broad audience on sustainable practices in heritage sectors.
