The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is participating in Arabian Travel Market 2026, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 14 to 17, to present the emirate’s tourism and cultural vision to global travel professionals. The stand features a media corner titled “From the Memory of Ajman” with archival photographs, an interactive zone showcasing tourism experiences and a cultural space under the Craftsmen Majlis that highlights traditional crafts through contemporary methods. This presence, framed around the initiative Ajman Tourism boosts emirate’s presence at Arabian Travel Market 2026, brings together public and private sector entities to demonstrate collaborative growth in the sector, according to a WAM report. The exhibition operates under the theme ‘Travel 2040: Driving New Frontiers Through Innovation and Technology’.

Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, affirmed that the participation represents a strategic milestone in strengthening the emirate’s presence as an integrated tourism destination. He explained that the Ajman platform offers an inspiring experience combining historical heritage and innovative tourism development while contributing to the sustainability of the sector’s growth. Alhashmi added that the setup enhances the emirate’s competitiveness on the global tourism map through expanded cooperation with regional and international markets.

A broad representation of Ajman’s tourism ecosystem features on the stand, reflecting public-private collaboration. Participants include Ajman Saray a Luxury Collection Resort, Al Zorah Beach Resort, Fairmont Ajman, Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Dusit Ajman Resort and Villas, Wyndham Garden Hotel, Radisson Blu Hotel, Zarya Wellness Spa Management Company, Ewan Ajman Suites Hotel, Ajman Chamber, Bronz Tourism, Musandam Adventure Travel, Arabian Oryx Travel and Tourism, Flash Horizon and Rida International Tourism and Travel. The department’s inventory of partners underscores the depth of available hospitality, wellness and travel services ready for new business ties.

Ajman was named the Middle East’s best emerging tourism destination for 2026 at the World Travel Awards, boosting its profile as it expands marketing into India and Eastern Europe.[[1]](https://gulfnews.com/business/tourism/ajman-named-middle-easts-best-emerging-tourism-destination-for-2026-1.500673345) Department figures show international visitors now account for more than half of total arrivals, reaching 52 percent as the emirate reduces reliance on domestic markets.[[2]](https://www.arabianbusiness.com/business/tourism-hospitality/ajman-tourism-international-visitors) Hotel establishments across the UAE recorded over 32 million guests in 2025 with revenues surpassing 49 billion dirhams, providing a strong regional backdrop for Ajman’s initiatives.

The Arabian Travel Market 2026 has assembled more than 1,400 tourism organisations worldwide at the same venue where Dubai also showcases its ecosystem. Industry groups use the platform to address trends in artificial intelligence, digital transformation and sustainable travel that are expected to redefine the sector. Ajman’s focused presence aligns with these discussions by emphasising both heritage preservation and forward-looking experiences.

Participation at the event supports the department’s longer-term goal of market diversification and visitor growth through targeted partnerships. The stand’s design integrates media, culture and interactivity to give attendees a comprehensive view of what the emirate offers today and its vision for the future. Additional data from the World Travel Awards and regional reports continue to highlight Ajman’s rising trajectory within the GCC tourism landscape.
