The Emirates News Agency reported that five UAE humanitarian aid convoys entered the Gaza Strip this week, comprising multiple trucks loaded with 533 tonnes of essential supplies. The convoys delivered food items, shelter materials and medical assistance prepared at the UAE humanitarian logistics hub in Al Arish, Egypt. Coordination with Egyptian authorities facilitated the crossing and distribution to address immediate civilian needs in the enclave.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 was launched following the escalation of hostilities in October 2023 to channel sustained relief to Palestinian civilians. WAM figures from February 2026 show that the operation had by then dispatched more than 301 convoys with over 122,000 tonnes of aid using more than 10,000 trucks. The latest delivery continues a pattern of regular shipments that have included winter clothing, hygiene kits and specialised health support.
The UAE humanitarian aid team at the Al Arish centre operates an integrated system for receiving, sorting, packaging and dispatching assistance based on field assessments from inside Gaza. Earlier WAM dispatches noted that similar weekly convoys have ranged between 500 and 900 tonnes, maintaining a steady flow despite logistical complexities. Mohammed Al Kaabi, media coordinator for the operation, stated in prior briefings that teams work around the clock to expedite unloading and preparation of shipments from both land and sea routes.
In addition to overland convoys the UAE has employed an air bridge and maritime deliveries under the same operation, including a January 2026 shipment from the Mohammed Bin Rashid Humanitarian Ship that carried millions of meals. Gulf News reported that by November 2025 the initiative had moved more than 1.6 million aid parcels across 250 convoys. These efforts have also encompassed provision of 33 ambulances, field bakeries and materials for water infrastructure projects.
WAM has tracked the cumulative impact through regular updates, documenting how supplies target food security and temporary housing for displaced families. A separate WAM release in June 2026 detailed three convoys carrying 544 tonnes of food and shelter items in a single week. The operation maintains close monitoring of each dispatch to ensure aid reaches intended recipients without delay.
Separate UAE initiatives linked to the Gaza response have included a field hospital inside the Strip and transfer of thousands of patients for advanced treatment in Emirati medical facilities. Data compiled by WAM across multiple updates place the overall value of UAE support to Gaza in the billions of dirhams since late 2023. The five convoys with 533 tonnes represent the most recent installment in this ongoing relief pipeline.
