Ministry of Foreign Trade data shows bilateral trade with Kazakhstan expanded 8.6 percent to $6.1 billion in 2025. The growth follows the economic partnership agreement the UAE signed with the Eurasian Economic Union to reduce barriers across priority sectors. The UAE stands as Kazakhstan’s chief trading partner among Arab states according to the ministry figures.
A report by The Astana Times placed UAE investment in Kazakhstan at $1.6 billion last year with funds channeled into logistics agriculture and technology initiatives. Kazakh officials noted during the Eurasian Economic Forum that such inflows have lifted trade volumes by 5 percent year on year. Several additional joint projects are advancing under existing bilateral accords.
The National quoted a senior Kazakh diplomat who stated that overall Gulf investment in the country has surpassed $5 billion including multiple agreements in renewable energy and infrastructure. Relations trace back to the early 1990s when diplomatic ties were first established following Kazakhstan’s independence. High-level visits have since accelerated cooperation in food security and innovation.
Kazakhstan’s exports to the UAE rose 42.1 percent in the first quarter of 2026 according to trade statistics released by Astana officials. The two sides continue to coordinate on multilateral platforms to expand connectivity and investment pipelines. Further diplomatic contacts are anticipated to translate these economic gains into broader strategic alignment.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that such messages form part of routine high-level communication that sustains momentum in the partnership. Both countries pursue aligned goals in economic diversification and regional stability.
