Paperworld Middle East will take place from October 13 to 15 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, according to event organisers Messe Frankfurt Middle East. The gathering serves as the region’s definitive trade platform for paper, stationery and office supplies products. Hosted in Dubai as the Arab world’s leading international trade, transhipment and distribution hub, the fair aims to transform global market demand into real commercial opportunities for participants from multiple continents. Organisers have opened registration for the three-day event that runs daily from 10am to 6pm.
A global market for paper and stationery products is projected to reach USD 433.19 billion by 2030, Messe Frankfurt figures show. The event connects global manufacturers and supply-chain leaders to buyers who hold real purchasing authority across the Middle East, Africa, Australasia, the Americas and Europe. Previous editions have established the fair as a key venue for sourcing, distribution and the formation of long-term commercial partnerships, according to the organisers.
Exhibitors at past Paperworld Middle East events have highlighted its value for business development in a statement carried on the official website. One participant said, “Paperworld Middle East is one of the biggest fairs in this industry, especially focused on the Middle East area. This is a very important fair for us to look for distributors and key trading companies in the Middle East and Africa area.” Another exhibitor added, “This is an important hub where the whole of the MENA region, Africa to Middle East to Asia, China, Europe – a lot of people come together. You meet people, you get more ideas, you develop more relationships and you’re able to take your company to the next leap.”
A third past exhibitor stated, “This is a very important exhibition. People are coming from all over the world to know more about us, and our market is too big today, as area-wise, so we are covering the whole Middle East, North Africa, even we are going to North America, so for them it’s much easier to come to us, to have this kind of interaction, to talk about the future, about the current markets.” The organisers noted that many companies return annually because the fair allows them to meet existing customers as well as new or potential ones from Africa, Asia and the Middle East. One exhibitor told the organisers, “We are more than happy to participate in this exhibition because we are meeting our existing customers, plus new or potential customers from Africa or Asia and Middle East. We will continue, as usual, every year to exhibit at this exhibition.”
The event includes specialised features such as an Artistry Workshop and a Premium Club, according to the official event description. These elements supplement the core exhibition floor where manufacturers display their latest offerings. Trade fair information platforms report that prior editions have typically drawn around 300 exhibitors and approximately 7,000 visitors from a wide range of countries. Organisers position the fair as an annual must-attend for industry professionals seeking to build networks that extend beyond the Middle East.
Dubai’s established role in regional logistics and commerce makes it a natural choice for the platform, Messe Frankfurt Middle East stated in its announcement. The fair supports participants in sectors ranging from standard stationery to specialised paper products. Additional exhibitor feedback carried by the organisers emphasised the value of in-person meetings that are harder to replicate through remote communication. One participant said, “We are here for business, we would like to meet our clients from all over the world, particularly in Middle East Africa, and we would love to spend time with our partners, distributors, with the entire team for a couple of days and discuss deeply the things and knowledge, which is not very easy always by emails and telecoms.”
