The fourth week of Ajman Summer 2026 has attracted 2,370 participants, according to a report from the Emirates News Agency. The programme, organised by the Ajman Government, offers a wide range of sporting, scientific, cultural, community, voluntary and recreational activities. These are delivered through dedicated boys’ and girls’ centres, scientific and cultural facilities as well as community initiatives and competitions.
Several programme tracks have surpassed their targets, the report showed, including those focused on community engagement, scientific learning and voluntary work. The boys’ summer centre delivered sports and swimming sessions that attracted high participation while the girls’ centre hosted a series of workshops during a dedicated life skills theme. Such figures demonstrate the alignment of the activities with the interests of students and youth.
The cultural component featured workshops on heritage and arts that drew large numbers, with specific events like Sandooq Al Watan and the Teach Me, Grandfather programme proving especially popular. Government and private sector partners contributed programmes on topics including health, artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship. Recreational events and specialised activities for people of determination further ensured the programme’s inclusive approach.
Ahmed Al Raeesi, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for Ajman Summer 2026, said the programme focuses on developing children’s and young people’s skills through educational, sporting, cultural and recreational activities in a safe and stimulating environment. He added that the strong turnout and the fact that several programmes exceeded their targets reflect the quality of the content and its alignment with participants’ interests. Al Raeesi praised the contributions of participating entities, organising teams, trainers and volunteers in ensuring the programme’s success.
The initiative continues to promote volunteerism and social responsibility among participants through dedicated humanitarian projects. Family-oriented community activities have helped strengthen bonds across generations and different community segments. Organisers expect the positive momentum from the fourth week to carry through the remaining weeks of the summer programme.
