These items were selected to address critical shortages in Gaza and the delivery was coordinated through established land routes from Al Arish. Officials handed the shipment directly to WHO representatives to facilitate targeted distribution.
Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 represents an ongoing phase of the UAE’s humanitarian initiative focused on the Gaza Strip. WAM has documented that the operation has dispatched multiple humanitarian and medical aid convoys since its launch with regular shipments crossing into the territory. These efforts have included both medical and broader relief supplies to meet sustained needs in the region.
The World Health Organization will manage the distribution of the delivered materials to affected health facilities. A WHO assessment found that Gaza’s health sector has faced severe disruptions with limited operational hospitals and widespread shortages of essential supplies. The UAE has sustained a steady pace of aid deliveries under the operation throughout recent months. Earlier convoys in 2026 included 30 tonnes of medical supplements that targeted vulnerable groups according to separate WAM reports on those shipments. Such medical support complements other categories of assistance dispatched in parallel under the same initiative.
Coordination with international bodies like the WHO has allowed for precise allocation of the convoy’s contents based on on-the-ground evaluations. The news agency noted that the route via Al Arish has enabled reliable transfer of large volumes of cargo in previous instances. This approach has supported the efficient movement of aid while aligning with border procedures involving Egyptian authorities.
