The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued the condemnation through the official WAM news agency, stressing that the actions posed a direct threat to the security of the affected states. It reiterated the UAE’s full support for all necessary measures the targeted countries might take to protect themselves and their stability. The statement came amid a series of similar incidents that have occurred throughout the month.

Al Jazeera reported that Iran launched the attacks in response to US airstrikes on Iranian cities, claiming they were aimed at American military sites in the host nations. Air defence systems in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan intercepted most of the missiles and drones, preventing significant damage in many cases. Qatar separately confirmed that shrapnel from an interception injured three individuals including a child, according to its interior ministry.

A review of the 2026 events indicates that Iran has fired hundreds of projectiles at these countries since February, with varying degrees of success in interception by local forces. In Kuwait, the military engaged multiple targets, destroying four missiles and 10 drones in one night, Kuwaiti officials said. Jordan’s forces reported shooting down eight missiles in a separate incident covered by Arab News.

The UAE had issued similar condemnations earlier in the month for attacks on subsets of these countries, according to records from the WAM news agency. Those statements likewise expressed solidarity and backed defensive measures. The inclusion of Qatar in the latest version reflects the expanded scope of the most recent strikes.

The attacks have been linked to Iran’s retaliation for American strikes related to tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, Euronews reported. Iranian officials described the operations as targeting US facilities in the region. No major casualties were widely reported from the latest wave, though disruptions to normal activities were noted in several capitals.
