The Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development is organising the annual forum under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The event aims to promote best practices in government leadership and to empower second-tier leaders across entities. It will review a number of future initiatives and projects in Dubai while highlighting the emirate’s developmental vision.
The rich agenda features panel discussions, specialised workshops and addresses that examine institutional leadership in light of rapid changes in the work environment. Modern technologies and artificial intelligence will be highlighted for their role in improving decision-making systems and operational efficiency. More agile administrative models capable of adapting to changes and seizing opportunities will also be reviewed.
According to the centre, three Strategic Leadership Majlis will convene leaders from different sectors. The Future Economy Majlis will explore trends in growth and innovation. The Future Cities Leadership Majlis will focus on urban management and smart infrastructure, while the New Global Narrative Majlis will address Dubai’s global standing in the economy, media, knowledge and humanitarian fields.
The forum will honour the recipient of the Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Medal, the highest accolade in the Dubai Government. This medal, launched in the previous year’s forum by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, recognises efforts to develop and empower second-tier leadership. It forms part of initiatives to ensure sustained excellence in government work.
Organisers plan to graduate a new cohort from the centre’s leadership programmes and to sign memoranda of understanding with several global universities. These agreements will facilitate leadership research and specialised studies on Dubai’s transformation and the leadership philosophy of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The centre has said the partnerships will strengthen engagement with national talent.
The event was rescheduled from an earlier date in September to October 13 to allow for broader participation, reports from regional media indicated. It builds on the success of prior editions that have shaped leadership capabilities in line with the UAE’s ambitious development goals. International experts in human and leadership development are also participating in the forum.
