ADNEC Group, a Modon company, outlined plans in a January 2026 statement to host and organise 192 exhibitions, conferences, meetings and social events at its UAE venues in the first six months of the year. The calendar covers a broad spectrum of industries including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, technology, sustainability, energy, defence, security, leisure and entertainment. The announcement came after the group recorded its most successful year to date in 2025, during which major gatherings reinforced Abu Dhabi’s status as a preferred destination for international business events.
ADNEC Group reported that its 2025 activities generated a total economic impact of AED 9.2 billion, an 8 percent rise on the prior year. This performance followed sustained investment in venue capacity and supporting services that have positioned the operator as a central player in the emirate’s meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions sector. The first-half 2026 schedule aims to maintain that momentum by attracting delegates from around the world to venues equipped for large-scale gatherings.
Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi data placed the number of business events hosted in the emirate at roughly 2,500 in 2023, drawing nearly one million delegates and recording a 44 percent increase in MICE activity from earlier periods. The Tourism Strategy 2030 progress report from the same authority logged 960,000 delegates across 2,477 events that year, highlighting the sector’s contribution to broader visitor targets. Such figures illustrate the scale against which ADNEC Group’s upcoming programme will operate.
A Mordor Intelligence assessment forecast the UAE MICE tourism market to expand from USD 6.03 billion in 2025 to USD 9.26 billion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 8.96 percent. The consultancy attributed this trajectory to streamlined visa processes, infrastructure upgrades and coordinated marketing across source markets. ADNEC Group’s expanded calendar aligns with these projections by focusing on high-value sectors that generate significant ancillary spending in hospitality and transport.
The group’s venues offer more than 153,678 square metres of total area, 21 meeting rooms and 1,827 on-site hotel rooms, according to ADNEC specifications. These facilities lie 15 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, enabling seamless access for international participants. Tourism 365, a subsidiary of ADNEC Group, provides integrated destination management services that cover everything from corporate functions to tailored delegate experiences.
ADNEC Group noted that the first-half programme will include both established flagship events and new additions tailored to emerging industry needs. The operator’s track record includes hosting globally recognised gatherings that have drawn record attendance and media coverage. This latest schedule underscores continued collaboration with government entities and private partners to elevate Abu Dhabi’s profile in the competitive regional events market.
