The Higher Organizing Committee has scheduled the Netherlands leg of the 33rd UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses on July 26, 2026, at the historic Duindigt Racecourse in The Hague immediately after the Germany stop on July 5. This event forms a central part of the European segment that also includes subsequent races in the United Kingdom, Spain and Belgium. The 2,150-metre Group 3 contest will bring together elite purebred Arabian horses and jockeys at a venue known for its equestrian tradition since 1906.
According to an announcement from the Higher Organizing Committee, the full 2026 series carries total prize money exceeding AED20 million after the 32nd edition set records with 354 horses competing before more than 400,000 spectators and generating over 500 million digital views. The cup was launched in 1994 under the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to preserve and promote the purebred Arabian horse on the international stage. Later stages of the tour after the Netherlands will proceed to Newbury in the United Kingdom on August 14 and Spain the following day before moving through additional European venues.
Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, stated that the support for the cup bridges the UAE with the world and forms part of a global strategy that has elevated the value of Arabian horses across four continents. In the same announcement, Al Dhaheri noted that the 19 stations demonstrate the UAE’s leadership in the equestrian field. Faisal Al Rahmani, secretary-general of the committee, described the 33rd edition as a historic turning point that partners with iconic venues to present the strongest and most valuable series in the sport.
The Netherlands stop on Sunday will see the finest pure Arabian horses gather at Duindigt Racecourse, continuing the pattern established in prior legs of the tour. Her Excellency Ameirah Alhefeiti, UAE Ambassador to the Netherlands, is set to honor the winning connections at the conclusion of the race. This leg builds on the momentum from earlier 2026 events held in Tunisia, the United States, France, Sweden, Italy, Morocco and Germany.
The complete 2026 calendar extends beyond Europe to include stops in Turkiye, Russia, Poland and several Arab countries with the grand finale slated for Saudi Arabia on November 20. Earlier phases of the tour featured races in Morocco on June 28, Italy on June 21 and Sweden on June 6. Organizers have positioned the series as a premier platform that draws top competitors from around the globe each season.
