The Emirates News Agency reported that a delegation from the Future Leaders Empowerment programme joined preparations for the Ahmed bin Zayed Foundation’s first convoy under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 in the Egyptian city of Al Arish. Participants engaged directly in the sorting and packaging of relief materials while learning the full sequence of aid organization from initial assembly to final dispatch across borders. The activity formed part of a structured field programme that exposed the group to the operational realities of delivering assistance amid complex regional conditions.

According to WAM, the ‘Future Leaders Empowerment’ delegation helps prepare Ahmed bin Zayed Foundation’s first convoy under ‘Chivalrous Knight 3’ as a means to build hands-on expertise in humanitarian logistics among young Emiratis. The programme emphasizes core values of volunteering and social responsibility through active involvement rather than theoretical instruction alone. Delegation members also received briefings on the coordination mechanisms that have kept supply lines open despite ongoing challenges in the Gaza Strip.

A Khaleej Times report placed the value of aid delivered through Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 above $3.89 billion as the mission reached 1,000 days in early August 2026. The operation, launched in November 2023 under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has moved more than 126,300 tonnes of supplies via over 13,000 trucks, 785 flights and 25 ships. These figures illustrate the scale that the first Ahmed bin Zayed Foundation convoy now joins.

The foundation pledged AED 3 million to the operation in early September with equal allocations for food parcels, health kits and prosthetic limbs, a WAM dispatch stated. This contribution will support both immediate needs and longer-term rehabilitation for affected civilians. Delegation participants observed how such targeted funding translates into tangible items loaded for transport from Al Arish toward Gaza border crossings.

Medical teams attached to the operation have treated more than 230,000 patients at the UAE field hospital, affiliated centres and the floating hospital in Al Arish, Khaleej Times data shows. The visiting group toured the floating hospital, assisted in opening a new patient library and distributed gifts and meals during their stay. These interactions provided a fuller picture of the integrated humanitarian response that combines material aid with direct care.

Gulf News figures indicated that the mission accounts for roughly 46 percent of all international assistance reaching Gaza since late 2023. The Future Leaders Empowerment visit highlighted the role of volunteers and young participants in sustaining momentum across logistical, medical and community components. Additional field activities are planned to deepen the delegates’ understanding of these interconnected efforts.
