Italian Senator Cinzia Pellegrino hosted the formal signing ceremony for the memorandum of understanding between TRENDS Training and the AISES Foundation, also known as SPES Academy. The event took place in the Italian Senate with the UAE Ambassador to Italy in attendance. Pellegrino stated that she was proud to facilitate the agreement with a nation recognized for its innovation drive. The partnership seeks to establish pathways for collaborative projects that build expertise across multiple technical disciplines.

The agreement focuses on advancing shared initiatives in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the space economy according to Pellegrino’s public account of the proceedings. TRENDS Training, operating under the UAE-based TRENDS Research and Advisory, was represented by Valerio De Luca during the Senate event. Pellegrino thanked De Luca for his role in forging the training-focused collaboration. This marks another step in TRENDS Research and Advisory’s pattern of forming international research ties as detailed in the organization’s prior partnership announcements.

The UAE maintains a National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence that prioritizes sector-wide development and global positioning according to official government publications. Italy has similarly outlined a national framework to support AI innovation and related technologies through structured policy measures. Such bilateral accords align with broader international efforts to pool resources in high-technology fields where rapid advancements require cross-border knowledge exchange.

A PwC assessment projects that artificial intelligence technologies could add up to 15.7 trillion dollars to global economic output by 2030. The MoU between the UAE and Italian entities aims to contribute to this trajectory through targeted research and specialized training components. Cooperation in cybersecurity and space economy segments reflects the interconnected nature of these domains in contemporary strategic planning.

The signing occurred against a backdrop of expanding technology partnerships between Gulf and European institutions. Ambassador Abdullah represented UAE interests at the Senate gathering, underscoring governmental emphasis on such technical alliances. TRENDS Research and Advisory has engaged in multiple similar agreements during research tours in Europe to broaden its analytical scope according to its published updates.

Pellegrino’s account described the MoU as a foundation for sustained growth in training excellence and scientific cooperation. The parties intend to develop joint programs that address practical challenges in the covered fields. Further specifics on implementation timelines and initial projects remain subject to subsequent coordination between TRENDS Training and the AISES Foundation.
