The UAE Pavilion at Marrakech Airshow 2026 wrapped up its activities on October 10 after facilitating numerous strategic discussions between UAE defence companies and international partners, according to the Emirates News Agency. Organised by ADNEC Group as a Modon company, the pavilion operated with support from the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement throughout the four-day exhibition held under the patronage of King Mohammed VI of Morocco. Seven national entities used the platform to showcase capabilities in areas ranging from advanced manufacturing to autonomous systems and precision-guided technologies.
ADNEC Group reported that the pavilion generated significant interest with more than 2,000 visitors crossing its stands over the course of the event. Business meetings totalled more than 50 across the participating companies, with individual firms such as EDGE Group and Resource Industries each conducting multiple sessions with potential buyers and government representatives. The engagements focused on opportunities to expand partnerships in the defence and aerospace sectors.
The Marrakech Airshow, which has been staged every two years since its launch in 2008, serves as a key platform for the global civil, military and space industries, a Zawya assessment found. UAE participation this year built on the country’s growing footprint in the sector, where the aviation industry contributed up to 18 percent of national GDP in recent assessments by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre. This involvement aligns with broader ambitions to strengthen industrial cooperation and access new markets.
G5 Holding, participating within the UAE stand, displayed products including the B-250 multi-role light attack aircraft and variants of the AlHeda missile family, the company said in event materials. Other exhibits featured armoured vehicles and air defence systems designed for diverse operational environments. These demonstrations drew attention from military delegations and industry leaders attending the show at the Royal Moroccan Air Force Base.
On the opening day of the airshow, the pavilion hosted high-level visitors including Major General Staff Mohammed Salem Al Hameli from the UAE and several Moroccan ministers and military commanders, according to ADNEC Group. The turnout reflected international interest in the UAE’s technological advancements within the defence domain. Subsequent days maintained momentum with additional meetings and site visits.
The Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement has positioned such exhibitions as central to empowering national companies and forging international alliances, a council overview indicated. With the UAE space economy now encompassing more than 170 entities, according to data from the UAE Space Agency, the Marrakech participation highlights the country’s expanding role across aerospace disciplines. Capital Events, part of ADNEC Group, also used the platform to promote upcoming editions of IDEX and NAVDEX scheduled for 2027.
