Five UAE aid convoys entered the Gaza Strip this week carrying 903 tonnes of humanitarian assistance as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the Emirates News Agency reported. The shipments, which comprised multiple trucks, included shelter materials, food supplies and medical aid that crossed through the Rafah border to address urgent needs among Palestinian civilians. The convoys were prepared at the UAE humanitarian logistics centre in Al Arish, where teams oversee an integrated process of receiving, sorting and dispatching relief under established safety protocols.

Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 launched in November 2023 under directives from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a timeline detailed in multiple WAM dispatches. By late July 2026 the operation had delivered more than 126,300 tonnes of relief supplies in total, according to a Gulf News compilation of UAE government figures. That volume arrived via over 13,000 aid trucks, 785 relief flights and 25 ships, establishing one of the largest sustained humanitarian corridors into the enclave since the current crisis began.

The latest delivery forms part of a regular schedule of overland convoys that have maintained consistent aid flow even as conditions in Gaza have fluctuated, WAM data shows. Earlier convoys this summer carried between 683 and 1,056 tonnes each in similar five-convoy batches, illustrating the operation’s steady cadence. Medical equipment, therapeutic nutrition and food parcels have featured prominently across recent shipments, with one December 2025 consignment alone providing 30 tonnes of supplements for 20,000 children and women.

UAE officials coordinate the logistics from Al Arish to ensure supplies reach intended recipients without interruption, according to operational briefings shared with Gulf News. The system has expanded to incorporate both maritime and air components alongside the truck convoys, creating redundant pathways for assistance. Public updates from the Emirates News Agency have tracked more than 150 such convoys since the operation started, with cumulative tonnage rising steadily through 2026.

Aid delivered under the initiative has included targeted medical support such as dialysis machines, ultrasound devices and respiratory equipment in addition to bulk food and shelter items, a pattern documented across WAM releases. In one early 2026 convoy more than 100 tonnes of medical supplies crossed in a single week, complementing the larger food-focused deliveries. These efforts have positioned UAE assistance as a substantial share of overall international relief reaching Gaza, according to July 2026 tallies published by Gulf News.

The operation continues to adjust its cargo mix based on assessed field requirements inside Gaza, with the Al Arish centre serving as the central hub for quality control and preparation, WAM stated in its coverage of recent movements. Total value of UAE support under the operation reached $3.12 billion by mid-2026, equivalent to roughly 46 percent of all international aid to the territory during that period.
