Emirates News Agency reported that TRENDS Research & Advisory is participating in the 36th Hong Kong International Book Fair through its Virtual China office, marking the think tank’s debut representation at the event via this channel. The organization will launch one of its latest publications on July 16 at the knowledge booth staffed by TRENDS researchers. Organizers have positioned the fair as a major platform for global publishing exchange in Asia.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council data describes the annual fair, which has run every summer since 1990, as Asia’s largest and most influential book event. This year’s edition carries the theme “Food Culture: The Future of Living” and includes more than 620 cultural activities along with a new Creative Industries Zone. The program also features special exhibitions that link reading to broader lifestyle topics.

TRENDS researchers will present the center’s work using virtual AI assistants named Noor and Atlas at the booth, according to a statement carried by WAM. The assistants demonstrate the think tank’s integration of artificial intelligence into research dissemination. The participation aligns with TRENDS’ broader pattern of engaging international audiences at book fairs.

A WAM dispatch on a similar recent appearance at the Beijing International Book Fair noted that TRENDS showcased more than 450 peer-reviewed research and academic publications there in June 2026. The Hong Kong event offers the center an opportunity to reach publishers and readers focused on the Chinese and broader Asian markets. Industry assessments place the fair as a leading indicator of trends in Chinese-language publishing.

The 36th Hong Kong International Book Fair runs through July 21 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, a venue that typically draws substantial attendance from across the region. TRENDS Virtual China office coordinates the current participation, according to the announcement. The think tank maintains a focus on producing peer-reviewed studies across multiple disciplines.

Fair officials have highlighted the event’s role in facilitating connections between international publishers and Asian audiences, figures from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council indicate. TRENDS’ presence adds a research-oriented dimension to the exhibitions and activities. The launch scheduled for July 16 forms a central part of the center’s program at the fair.
