The Emirates College for Advanced Education concluded its summer camp for Students of Determination on July 30 2026 after running two cohorts from July 27 at its Abu Dhabi campus the college reported. The programme welcomed 30 participants split between age groups of seven to 11 years and 12 to 18 years with each cohort completing two days of tailored activities. Under the theme Family Inclusion and Artificial Intelligence the camp featured practical workshops that combined technology training with family participation to build skills and confidence according to ECAE. The structure aligned the event with the UAE Year of the Family by involving parents and caregivers directly in project sessions.

Workshops on the first day for each group introduced artificial intelligence through simplified hands-on experiences that demonstrated real-world technology applications the college said. The second day centered on digital Fab Labs where students transformed ideas into functional prototypes to strengthen creativity innovation and problem-solving abilities. These sessions formed part of an interactive format designed to promote lifelong learning and active engagement among Students of Determination ECAE reported. Family members collaborated on the projects highlighting the role of caregivers in the educational process.

Dr. May Laith Al Taee the vice chancellor of Emirates College for Advanced Education stated that the camp reflected a broader institutional vision. “At Emirates College for Advanced Education we believe that inclusive education and educational integration are far more than educational concepts they represent a national commitment to ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to participate succeed and realize their full potential” Al Taee said. She added that the programme embodied the creation of innovative learning environments enabling Students of Determination to contribute to the UAE future. Al Taee noted that the timing during the Year of the Family underscored inclusion through collective efforts involving families schools communities and educators.

The summer camp forms one element of ECAE efforts to promote inclusion across the education sector by strengthening educator capabilities and embedding inclusive practices the college said. Artificial intelligence integration serves as a tool to enhance learning experiences while expanding access to high-quality opportunities for Students of Determination. Such initiatives equip participants with practical digital skills and create avenues for creative learning and innovation according to the institution.

This event builds on prior ECAE activities including the conclusion of its 10th annual autism day gathering in May 2024 that raised social awareness and outlined learning opportunities for students living with autism the Abu Dhabi Media Office reported at the time. Those earlier programmes similarly emphasized best practices for educators and future pathways for learners with diverse needs. The consistent focus demonstrates sustained commitment to inclusive education within Abu Dhabi educational institutions.

ECAE described the camp as supporting the UAE long-term vision for future-focused and inclusive education that harnesses technology to empower all learners the college stated. The programme integrated AI competencies with community involvement to foster an equitable environment. Officials indicated that family-centered approaches remain a core pillar in supporting Students of Determination and encouraging their societal participation.
