Participation included both Emirati nationals and expatriate residents with sessions conducted under certified instructors at the club’s waterfront facilities. The Emirates News Agency reported that the schedule featured daily practical drills supplemented by classroom sessions on weather interpretation and equipment maintenance. Data from the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation indicate that youth sailing programmes have contributed to a 30 percent increase in licensed junior sailors nationwide since 2018.
Organisers noted that the programme emphasised environmental awareness alongside technical skills encouraging participants to understand sustainable practices on the water.
