Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, presided over the session that launched the executive phase of the Artificial Intelligence Programme, according to the Emirates News Agency. The gathering reviewed the programme’s implementation timeline, core objectives and alignment with broader development strategies. Discussions highlighted the integration of AI to support government operations while maintaining focus on public needs.

Sheikh Humaid bin Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Executive Council and Leader of the Ajman Artificial Intelligence Programme, chaired the first follow-up coordinating meeting, Ajman Media Office data shows. That session addressed the target of launching 100 AI initiatives spanning the eight pillars of Ajman Vision 2030. The pillars encompass key domains intended to advance quality of life, institutional performance and economic competitiveness across the emirate.

The programme adopts a people-first framework that treats artificial intelligence as an instrument to improve decision-making and service delivery rather than replace personnel, programme documents state. Dedicated governance mechanisms have been introduced to uphold principles of trust, accountability and data safeguarding. Officials outlined these elements to ensure responsible adoption throughout public sector entities.

One initial deployment under the programme is an agentic AI solution for automated trade licence renewals handled by the Department of Economic Development, The National reported on July 23, 2026. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi described the system as a practical step under the Artificial Intelligence Programme that reflects its people-first orientation. The tool enables proactive processing without initial human intervention, marking the first such headless government service in the UAE.

Federal authorities have separately outlined plans to train 80,000 government workers in AI agent utilisation as part of a national strategy, according to UAE government assessments. Ajman Chamber of Commerce officials have indicated they will build on the programme to advance digital service development in the private sector, a chamber statement noted. Subsequent coordinating sessions will track rollout across priority areas and adjust timelines as required.

Programme leaders continue to coordinate among government departments to align the 100 planned initiatives with existing operational frameworks, an Executive Council summary found. The executive phase shifts the effort from conceptual planning into active execution across selected applications. Progress reviews will incorporate feedback from participating entities to refine deployment methods.
