The convoys consisted of 20 trucks transporting food and shelter materials to address urgent needs in the Palestinian territory. Preparation of the shipments took place at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt, where aid is systematically received, sorted and readied for cross-border transport. This process ensures efficient delivery to recipients in the Gaza Strip, according to the official news agency.
With the arrival of these convoys, the total number of trucks dispatched under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 has reached 14,519, ferrying more than 137,241 tonnes of assistance since the operation’s launch, WAM data shows. The initiative, which began in late 2023, forms the cornerstone of the UAE’s response to the humanitarian situation in Gaza. Coordination with Egyptian authorities facilitates the movement of these regular convoys.
A comprehensive review published by Emirates 24|7 placed the monetary value of UAE aid delivered through the operation above $4 billion as of early October 2026. That sum represents 46 per cent of total global humanitarian contributions to Gaza over the same period. The support has encompassed not only land convoys but also airlifts, maritime shipments and targeted airdrops.
The UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre continues to serve as the central hub for these efforts, WAM noted in its dispatch. Staff at the facility manage an integrated system that covers every stage from initial receipt to final handover inside Gaza. Such infrastructure has proven critical in sustaining the flow of supplies amid ongoing challenges.
Additional components of the operation have seen the UAE field hospital and floating medical facility treat hundreds of thousands of patients. Official records indicate more than 294,000 medical cases have been handled through UAE-supported health infrastructure. Water tankers and specialised medical supplies have formed part of the broader assistance package.
The Birds of Goodness airdrop campaign has delivered over 4,000 tonnes of aid to hard-to-reach areas, according to compiled operational statistics. This complements the truck convoys by ensuring aid reaches isolated communities. Overall, the operation has involved hundreds of flights and dozens of ship voyages in addition to the land route.
