Emirates News Agency WAM reported that Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes retained his Power Slap super heavyweight title with a unanimous decision over Vasilii “Dumpling” Kamotskii at the promotion’s 25th event. The five-round rematch at Space42 Arena ended with scorecards of 48-44, 47-45 and 47-45 for the champion, mirroring their first meeting at Power Slap 13 in June 2025 where Viernes also prevailed by decision to claim the belt. Organizers positioned the bout as the centerpiece of a card that featured several stoppages and drew significant regional interest during Abu Dhabi Showdown Week.

Power Slap CEO Frank Lamicella described the turnout as the largest and earliest sellout the promotion had achieved in the UAE capital. “This was our biggest crowd here, our earliest sellout,” he said. “We certainly will be back next year.” The event formed part of ongoing efforts to expand the league’s footprint in the Middle East with support from local authorities.

In the co-main event, Dakota “The Maritime Menace” McGregor recorded a second-round knockout against Reiley “Slap Shady” Montoya, prompting Lamicella to call the finish “as clean as a knockout that you can have.” The CEO added that big things are ahead for McGregor after the performance. Middleweight Peter “The Aligator All G” Truchlik and heavyweight Louis “Razor” Robinson also secured victories by knockout and disqualification respectively within two rounds.

Official results from the Power Slap website listed additional wins by disqualification in welterweight and further knockouts across preliminary bouts that were taped for later broadcast. The card included competitors from multiple continents, underscoring the league’s international draw. Free live streaming on YouTube allowed global viewers to watch the action without charge, consistent with the promotion’s distribution model.

UFC president Dana White, who founded Power Slap in 2022, has stated that the league now generates more than one billion views per month across social media and video platforms. White told multiple outlets that the promotion secured more sponsorship revenue in its first two years than the UFC achieved in its first decade, attributing the rapid growth to influencer partnerships and direct-to-fan digital content. A review of league metrics by MMA Mania placed average event viewership in the millions, with viral knockout clips frequently exceeding tens of millions of views.

Viernes has now defended the super heavyweight title multiple times since seizing it in 2025, including against ranked contender Makini Manu. Kamotskii, coming off a knockout victory at Power Slap 22, pushed the champion through the distance but could not overcome the judges’ scoring. The outcome reinforced the division’s competitive depth as the league prepares for additional cards in 2027.
