WAM reported that Sultan bin Ahmed visited the Rubu’ Qarn Music Centre on October 24, 2026, to attend a series of evaluation performances by enrolled students. The senior official received a briefing on the centre’s training modules and viewed presentations across multiple musical disciplines during the session. Centre administrators highlighted participant advancements and the structure of ongoing programmes designed to build technical proficiency.
The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators launched its dedicated music centre in 2024 under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. A foundation overview shows the facility provides individual and group instruction on various instruments in addition to lectures, competitions and stage opportunities. The programme enables students to pursue international certifications from bodies such as the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and Trinity College.
According to Sharjah24, the Rubu’ Qarn Music Orchestra completed its first international engagement with a concert at the Al Hussein Cultural Centre in Amman, Jordan, in November 2025. Professors Muhannad Al Khatib, Sarah Adel and Abdullah Atfeh oversaw arrangement preparation and student skill development ahead of the event. The performance, conducted in collaboration with the National Music Conservatory and Tariq Al Jundi Academy, received positive audience response and aligned with the foundation’s cultural outreach objectives.
Furat Qaddouri, executive director of Rubu’ Qarn Music, has outlined the centre’s aim to strengthen cultural identity while supporting a sustainable creative economy in Sharjah. The director noted plans to introduce specialised tracks in music technology, sound engineering, vocal performance and instrument craftsmanship. Such expansions seek to equip participants with advanced competencies that complement local educational institutions and position Sharjah as an arts destination.
The foundation’s records place its core programmes within an age range of six to 31 years across multiple facilities throughout Sharjah. Earlier WAM coverage indicates Rubu’ Qarn integrates entities including Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah and Sharjah for Capability Development under a unified strategic plan established in 2016. This framework has enabled coordinated delivery of educational, research and talent development initiatives for thousands of young residents.
A Sharjah24 report from late 2024 documented more than 70 musical performances alongside ballet and theatrical segments during one of the foundation’s literature and arts seasons. These events drew participation from members across 23 centres and emphasised teamwork in delivering creative outputs to the public. The accumulated activities have reinforced the foundation’s contribution to youth empowerment and community cultural engagement in the emirate.
