PureCS and Dell Technologies have formed a collaboration to operate a security operations centre in Abu Dhabi that will provide managed detection and response along with extended detection and response capabilities across the UAE, according to a report by the Emirates News Agency. The partnership ensures that data from both government and private sector clients remains hosted locally within the country. PureCS functions as the technology services arm of PureHealth, the largest integrated healthcare provider in the Middle East, and the new centre builds on prior joint work between PureHealth and Dell Technologies that included construction of the national health information exchange infrastructure.

The UAE cybersecurity market stands at $4.8 billion in 2026 and is forecast to expand to $15.24 billion by 2035 at a compound annual growth rate of 13.7 percent, a MarkWide Research assessment found. This growth aligns with rapid digitisation, cloud migration and stricter regulatory requirements from the National Cybersecurity Council. The joint centre will focus on delivering services that address these trends while maintaining data sovereignty standards that have become central to national digital policy.

Official data from the UAE Cyber Security Council documented more than 800,000 daily cyberattacks targeting the nation in recent months, a figure that underscores the pressure on critical infrastructure and commercial operations. Microsoft’s Digital Defense Report for 2026 placed the UAE sixth globally and second in the Middle East and Africa for detected customer cyber encounter rates. The new operations centre aims to strengthen proactive defences through continuous threat hunting and automated response mechanisms.

PureCS will leverage Dell Technologies’ infrastructure and professional services to manage the centre, which processes high volumes of security events and incidents for mission-critical clients. The arrangement supports both on-premises and cloud environments while emphasising resilience against AI-powered threats that have grown more sophisticated. Earlier this month PureCS executives participated in the Dell Technologies Forum in Dubai, where discussions centred on building cyber resilience in the AI era.

Regional cybersecurity spending across the Gulf is projected to surpass AED 120 billion by 2030, according to a Grand View Research study on cyber resilience in the area. The UAE accounts for 18 to 22 percent of total GCC cyber expenditure, which itself reached an estimated $9 billion to $11 billion in 2026. The partnership between PureCS and Dell Technologies forms part of a wider pattern of local and international collaboration intended to elevate domestic capabilities in threat intelligence and incident response.

The collaboration also reflects ongoing efforts to integrate sovereign AI models into cybersecurity frameworks, as seen in recent initiatives by the Cyber Security Council that include development of locally built large language models for vulnerability detection. Such measures have already demonstrated effectiveness, repelling coordinated intrusion attempts against financial institutions earlier in 2026 without disrupting services. PureCS and Dell Technologies intend to expand the scope of their joint offerings to additional sectors facing similar risk profiles.
