Khazna Data Centers released its inaugural ESG report this week, according to the Emirates News Agency. The document compiles the company’s performance metrics across environmental stewardship, social impact and corporate governance for the first time. It sets measurable starting points for future evaluations and disclosures. The company said the report reflects its ongoing integration of sustainability into core business operations in a sector known for intensive resource use.

Emirates News Agency reporting on the announcement indicated that the ESG report covers Khazna’s initiatives to limit environmental footprint while advancing workforce development and ethical oversight. Khazna operates multiple facilities in the United Arab Emirates that support the region’s expanding digital economy. The publication aligns with national priorities outlined in the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative, according to Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure statements. Industry observers note that such reporting has become standard among infrastructure providers seeking long-term investment.

A Mordor Intelligence assessment of the Middle East data center market projected compound annual growth above 10 percent through 2029, driven by cloud computing and artificial intelligence adoption. Khazna’s report, the company said, addresses the environmental implications of this expansion by documenting current energy sources and efficiency protocols. The baseline will allow annual comparisons as the firm scales its capacity. Data centers globally accounted for 1 to 1.5 percent of electricity demand in recent years, International Energy Agency figures show, underscoring the relevance of targeted ESG measures.

The Emirates News Agency noted that Khazna highlighted employee training programs, community partnerships and board-level oversight mechanisms within the ESG document. These social and governance elements complement the environmental section, which reviews waste reduction and water management practices at its sites. The report was compiled using internationally recognized frameworks for consistency with peer organizations. Khazna stated that the exercise identified both strengths and opportunities for enhancement in its sustainability approach.

Deloitte’s 2025 Middle East ESG survey found that more than 80 percent of regional investors factor environmental, social and governance criteria into allocation decisions for technology infrastructure. Khazna’s decision to publish its first report positions the company within this expectation, the Emirates News Agency reported. The document will be updated periodically to reflect evolving performance. Transparency in reporting has grown increasingly important as the UAE strengthens its role as a data hub for the broader Gulf region.

According to the company announcement covered by the Emirates News Agency, the ESG report also details alignment with global standards such as those from the Global Reporting Initiative. Khazna emphasized that the baseline established this year will guide target-setting for subsequent periods. The firm continues to expand its footprint in response to demand from both public and private sector clients. This first edition therefore serves as a foundational reference for all future sustainability communications.
