The Sharjah Safari Run returns for a fourth time on October 4 under the organisation of the Sharjah Sports Council in cooperation with Sharjah Safari park in Al Dhaid. The event takes place within the largest safari park in the Middle East and offers a traffic-free route surrounded by natural scenery that provides a distinctive setting for runners. Early morning start times have been maintained from previous editions to ensure comfortable conditions for all age groups taking part.

Distances on offer are set to include a 1.1-kilometre race for children as well as 3.1-kilometre, 4.5-kilometre and 7.8-kilometre options for older participants and competitive athletes. Every finisher will receive a medal engraved with the course map together with an e-certificate, timing results and refreshments, mirroring arrangements from earlier years. Registration remains open through official event platforms and is expected to close shortly before the race or once capacity is reached.

The third edition held in October 2025 attracted more than 500 men and women who competed with notable enthusiasm across citizen and open categories for both genders, Sharjah24 reported. Ahmed Al Naqbi claimed first place in the 7.8-kilometre citizens men division while Nancy Owiti topped the equivalent open women category in that event. Participation had increased from roughly 360 runners recorded in the 2024 edition according to contemporaneous coverage by OneArabia.

Runners in the 2025 race received awards featuring the route design inscribed in Arabic and English with supporting organisation logos displayed on the ribbons. The format has consistently emphasised inclusivity by welcoming families and competitors of varying abilities to the same venue. Winners across all divisions were crowned immediately after each distance concluded.

Sharjah Safari itself spans extensive grounds that house diverse wildlife species and serves as a regional attraction beyond its role in sporting events. The council has integrated the run into its annual calendar as one of several community-focused activities designed to encourage physical activity. Similar races organised by the same body have taken place at other locations including indoor venues such as Sahara Mall.

Further details on exact start times for each category and full eligibility criteria are available from the Sharjah Sports Council and event registration site. The 2025 race concluded with podium ceremonies that celebrated top performers in every division on the day.
