The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department’s pavilion at the 23rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition seeks to educate enthusiasts on UAE laws governing these activities while providing preventive legal guidance. According to the department, the displays focus on upholding rights, ensuring compliance and achieving justice for participants in hunting, equestrian sports and camel racing. A report from Gulf News indicated that ADIHEX 2026 has drawn a record 2,405 exhibitors from 71 countries across 107,000 square metres, marking a 17 percent increase in area from the prior edition and featuring eight falcon auctions along with expanded sectors for heritage and outdoor pursuits.
Counsellor Youssef Saeed Al Abri, undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, stated that the participation offers a key opportunity to engage directly with individuals interested in these sports. Al Abri noted that the initiative aligns with the department’s role in delivering educational materials that support legal compliance across the sector. The undersecretary added that such outreach helps connect judicial expertise with community events like ADIHEX, which is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club.
The pavilion incorporates handicrafts and artworks produced by inmates from correctional and rehabilitation centres, an element the department described as supporting skill development and societal reintegration. According to ADJD officials, this display highlights the rehabilitative aspects of the judicial system while showcasing inmate contributions to cultural exhibits. The approach reflects broader department efforts to link justice initiatives with public events, as seen in its organization of specialized forums on topics ranging from medical tourism legislation to child digital safety laws throughout 2026.
An electronic library within the pavilion offers publications on legal and judicial topics specific to the UAE sports sector, complementing interactive displays on regulatory frameworks. The department reported that a dedicated area features the English Notary Services Bureau, noted as the first of its kind in the Middle East, which streamlines procedures for businesses and supports Abu Dhabi’s attractiveness to foreign investment. ADJD data from earlier in 2026 showed the department processed more than 447,000 electronic requests in the first half of the year, underscoring its emphasis on accessible legal services that extend to exhibition-based awareness campaigns.
Participation in ADIHEX 2026 builds on the department’s pattern of community engagement, following similar involvement in the 2024 edition of the exhibition that also centered on sports-related legal education. A Zawya report on ADJD activities detailed how the department conducted 25 specialized training programs reaching 411 trainees in the first half of 2025, covering areas such as mediation, law practice and judicial enforcement to strengthen overall legal capacity. These programs incorporated emerging topics like artificial intelligence and digital transformation, aligning with the exhibition’s focus on modern applications within traditional heritage sectors.
The exhibition’s scale this year includes 55 falcon-breeding farms, a 20 percent increase from the previous event, according to Gulf News figures, providing a larger platform for the department’s legal outreach. ADJD representatives indicated that the pavilion serves both local enthusiasts and international visitors drawn by the event’s expanded program of live demonstrations and family activities. Such integration of legal awareness into major public gatherings supports the emirate’s vision for an advanced justice system that promotes knowledge exchange across diverse community sectors.
