The Emirates News Agency reported that President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan toured the LuLu Hypermarket in Mushrif Mall where he interacted directly with staff and members of the public. He shook hands with numerous employees and exchanged greetings with shoppers who happened to be present during the unannounced stop. Videos of the encounters spread rapidly across social media platforms after the event. The visit took place on Tuesday and followed a similar appearance days earlier at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.

According to Gulf News, LuLu Group Chairman and Managing Director M.A. Yusuff Ali welcomed the President at the store and accompanied him during the tour. The hypermarket forms part of the group’s extensive operations headquartered in Abu Dhabi. LuLu Group data places the company’s network at more than 250 stores across 22 countries. The retailer’s workforce exceeds 57,000 employees with annual revenue surpassing $7 billion.

WAM noted that the President took time to observe daily operations and connect with those present in a display of direct public engagement. Such unannounced visits have occurred periodically as part of the President’s schedule. The interactions at the mall underscored the role of major retailers in the daily lives of residents.

LuLu Group figures show the company began as a single store in the early 1990s before expanding into a multinational chain with a strong presence in the UAE. Its growth has contributed to employment and trade links across the region. Yusuff Ali has overseen this development since founding the business.

The Mushrif Mall location serves as one of the chain’s prominent outlets in the capital, drawing steady foot traffic from surrounding communities. Reports indicated that both staff and visitors responded warmly to the President’s appearance. No additional details about any discussions held during the visit were released in initial accounts.
