The Emirates News Agency reported that the Ain Al Thuraya exhibition is set to launch in Al Ain on November 27 and run through December 6. Organisers chose the location to build on the success of the main Al Thuraya event held in Abu Dhabi earlier in the year. The initiative aims to bring luxury items and creative works closer to residents of the Garden City. Event listings from ADNEC indicate the exhibition will feature a range of exhibitors focused on contemporary interpretations of traditional crafts.
Al Ain maintains a prominent place in UAE cultural heritage with its oases and archaeological sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2011 according to UNESCO records. The city regularly hosts events that highlight both historical significance and modern creative expression. This new exhibition aligns with those traditions by providing a platform for artisans and designers. Such gatherings have grown in scale across Abu Dhabi emirate over recent years.
The exhibition will showcase the latest trends in fashion jewellery home accessories and interior design a description published on the ADNEC website confirmed. More than 100 local and international participants are expected to display their collections during the 10-day run. Organisers have positioned the event as an opportunity for entrepreneurs to connect directly with consumers in the Al Ain market. Previous editions in the capital have emphasised innovation within established craft sectors.
ADNEC data from the Abu Dhabi edition which ran from January 25 to 29 2026 placed attendance in the thousands with strong interest from both public and trade visitors. That event at Marina Hall served as the foundation for this extension into Al Ain. Feedback collected after the Abu Dhabi show highlighted the value of accessible luxury and design experiences. The Al Ain version will follow a similar format adjusted for the local audience.
A report carried by Al Etihad newspaper on January 28 2026 noted that participating artists and designers see the Al Thuraya platform as a bridge to new commercial and collaborative opportunities. The exhibition format encourages interaction between creators and the community. Officials involved in planning have stressed its role in supporting small and medium enterprises in the creative industries. Schedules for workshops and special displays remain under finalisation according to current announcements.
The Emirates News Agency added that full details on venue layout ticketing and programming will be released in the coming weeks. Al Ain’s population which stands at more than 900 000 according to recent Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre figures stands to benefit from the additional cultural offering. The event forms part of a wider calendar of activities designed to promote year-round tourism and community engagement across the emirate. Interest has already begun to build on social media platforms ahead of the November opening.
